The whole initiative is the result of the commitment of the Company’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Andreas Pittas, to support and be actively involved in the reforestation of Solea, which was devastated by fire and in memory of the firefighters who lost their lives during their duty.
A big group of volunteers, consisting of nearly 100 persons, all members of Medochemie’s staff, participated in the event, supporting its cause; participation number which surpasses all previous participations in similar events. The volunteers actively contributed by planting over 600 reforestation trees.
Moreover, in order to support further the effort of the “Cyprus Association for Forests” and their campaign for reforestation with the message “Let’s make Cyprus Green”, Medochemie offered to the Association financial support, with a cheque of thousands of Euro. On behalf of the Association, Mr. Takis Tsintides, Head of the Department of Forest, of the Republic of Cyprus, received the cheque.
We all support Medochemie’s effort for a healthy forest ecosystem.
As long as I live I hope for a healthy and clean natural environment.
As long as I live ... I make Cyprus green.
