"Our seas of Cyprus, Syria and Egypt" Constantine P. Cavafy.

Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, Medochemie Cyprus organized a series of cultural events for its partners and healthcare professionals, under the particularly difficult conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The team of the Theatrical Workshop of the University of Cyprus (TWUCY) staged the play "Our seas of Cyprus, Syria and Egypt" based on several famous poems from the venerable collection of the great poet Constantine P. Cavafy.

The highly dedicated team of TWUCY manifested the tone and emotion of the celebrated Alexandrian poet in a flawless execution. Professor Michalis Pieris, the director of the play, harmoniously combined the dramatization of various acts of Cavafy’s renowned poems with the excellent musical accompaniment of illustrious composer Evagoras Karagiorgis.


During his address, the Executive Chairman of Medochemie Dr Andreas Pittas, stated his admiration for the work of Constantine Cavafy and the lasting impact it created, and proceed to express his appreciation towards the TWUCY team.
