Continuing efforts to bring life after July's wildfires! Our Company, in the context of its Corporate Social Responsibility, in cooperation with the Department of Forests took action to reforest and regenerate the areas affected by the deadly fires in July in the mountainous communities of Limassol. T he tree planting event took place on November 20th in the area of Eptagonia and we could not be more proud of our team and volunteers that participated. "We have fulfilled the promise we made to the residents of the communities of Larnaca and Limassol," said Dr. Christakis Sergidis, Chairman of Medochemie's Environmental Protection and Energy Saving Committee. Referring to the climate crisis, Dr. Sergidis said that if we do not put a brake on the emissions of other pollutants that cause the greenhouse effect, we will continue to undermine our food and water reserves, but also its lower the quality of the air we breathe.
The Memorandum of Cooperation is expected to contribute to the development of high value-added products and processes. On the one hand, it will strengthen Medochemie's efforts to deepen its research and development, while on the other hand, researchers at the University of Cyprus will have the opportunity to focus on applied research of common interest.
The weekend 19-20 March Medochemie Cyprus participated to the OPAP Limassol marathon which is one of the biggest sport event of Cyprus with more than 11000 participants.
As March is the European Colon Cancer Awareness Month, the Gastroenterological Society of Cyprus, Medochemie and the Pancyprian Medical Association, joint forces to inform and enlighten the citizens about this serious disease.
