“The Chant of the Bridge” at Curium Ancient Theater

On Wednesday, June 5th at the emblematic space of Curium Ancient Theatre, a special theatrical performance was hosted, organized by Medochemie within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility program and in cooperation with the University of Cyprus Theatrical Workshop (THEPAK), for the third year in a row.
Following the great performance of "Erotokritos" in 2018, which was based on the 17th century Cretan literature masterpiece "Erotokritos" by Vitsentzos Kornaros, the Theatrical Workshop team performed at Curium Ancient Theatre, the outstanding play “To asma tou Giofiriou” (The Chant of the Bridge), adapted and directed by Professor Michalis Pieris and accompanied by the extraordinary music of Evagoras Karagiorgis.
The devoted team of THEPAK did a great job in interpreting the folklore lyrics of a legend that stems from the depths of time and exists in many cultures. A plethora of feelings and emotions arose from the confrontation of man and nature, the personal happiness and success along with professional responsibility and collective benefit.
The unique spiritual nature and aesthetics of the play, in combination with the wonderful atmosphere of the ancient theatre resulted in a magical and memorable experience for an overwhelming number of healthcare professionals attending the play.
