MEDOCHEMIE – KSA launches its operations with a memorable event

On the 2nd of March 2017, Medochemie Ltd. organised an impressive launch symposium in Riyadh – Saudi Arabia. The event was organised in the form of a panel discussion and had the title: “Generic Medicine: Essential Contributors to the long-term Health Society “.

More than two hundred top Health Care Professionals from different sectors within the Saudi health care system, including physicians, pharmacists, hospital procurement managers and key officials from the Ministry of Health were invited to the event and had the opportunity to be informed from distinguished experts in the area of Health.

The keynote speaker of the event was Dr. David Crome, one of the leading UK pharma industry experts in the Area of GMP compliance and quality assurance, who gave a presentation on the subject: “The pharmaceutical product life cycle and how patient safety is maintained”.

The guest panellists had different expertise and came from a variety of health sectors including key opinion leaders from the infectious disease and intensive care societies as well as Saudi FDA officials. The discussion focused on the provision of an effective and efficient healthcare system whilst balancing between appropriate levels of patient care with the resources available and the significant contribution of generic medicines to the sustainability of the health care system in Saudi Arabia. The symposium was highly interactive, as all attendees had the opportunity to share their opinions on different topics using a live voting system.

Saudi Arabia is the most important market in the MENA region and one of the fastest growing countries in terms of population and demand of effective and quality health care and we were delighted to introduce, at the end of the event, our first products in the market: Archifar (Meropenem) Injectable and Ceruxim (Cefuroxime) Injectable.

The event was very successful as it received excellent feedback by its participants, the local market and attracted the attention of the media as well.
